All hail glorius nation Kazakhstan!

Yes indeed, I've seen Borat. And twas highly entertaining indeed, I heartily recommend it to you folks.

Nice.

So, let's see what's been happening in the world of Mirri.

A week ago we had a halloween party here, and twas fun, folks were dressed up nicely - we had Pippi Longstocking, an oven, a dirty disco-man, a gay artist, a bat, a police officer, a couple of cats, a bear, a banana dog, a porn star, a couple of new-rich Russians, a tribesman, and a Transylvanian wielding his Axe of Despair - the usual. Our disgusting jelly was quite popular, as well as the punch with icy hands.
People called in the next day with hangovers, so I think we did well.

Two weeks down and six to go with this teaching prac of mine - the final one, thankfully. All these lessons to plan and whatnot.
So far I've learnt that I'm incapable of planning well structured lessons. No problem with any other sort of classroom management or such, just the lessons. *Sigh*.
Suppose I should be learning still as well, but meh. Just waiting for this one to be done with...

So far today I've done some American style pancakes for breakfast, which turned out quite nicely, and I've also googled Abba-lyrics.

Yes.

Anywho, 'nuf of my boring life, off to find new adventures. Y'arr be good now.

Well I'll be damned.

Seems I've forgotten this here blog for nearly a month. 'Scuse me for that.

Now let's see, what I've been up to in the mean time. Did some assignmenty stuff, began my final prac (8 weeks of planning, giving and analyzing lessons. Which is stupid, because real, actual, proper teacher folk pretty much heavily rely on teachers manuals, which don't leave that much to be planned. Which is all nice and good, but they want us students to still be all innovative and excited about doing everything the extreme-pedagogue -way. Bleh).

And that's about it I think.
Oh, but yes - tomorrow I'll be a substitute for a day - and get this - I'll get paid for it! Woohoo! =) Not that it'll be a huge amount of money as it is just for one day, but still. It's something.

And now, time to go find tea before heading off to school.

Y'arr behave now.
